I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and am fortunate to be the husband of an incredible woman and the father of an adorable son. My family and friends are my inspiration – I have been blessed with great family and a core group of friends. The events that have had the greatest impact on shaping who I am today are: Alta High School, LDS Church Mission to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (working with the Cambodian population there), Brigham Young University, Cornell University (SEAP - Southeast Asian Studies Program), The Royal University of Phnom Penh, living and working in Cambodia and Vietnam for 3 years and all of my dear friends in Southeast Asia. My studies and travels have allowed me to meet many incredible people. I am excited that Global Comrades is giving me the opportunity to meet many more of my fellow “global comrades”.
I believe that Global Comrades can improve the world we live in through direct communication. Given the current state of international relations, I hope to use Global Comrades to get information directly from the source (i.e. if an event happens in a country in Asia, I want to contact people in that country to get information closer to the source). Moreover, the more we interact with each other (the world population), the more we will realize that we have the same common dreams and aspirations. We all want to be happy – we all want peace, comfort and safety for our families. World peace is possible!
I want to leave the world in a better condition than I found it. I would like to be remembered as a good father, husband, friend, son, and brother. We all owe it to our children to be more aware of the implications of our actions – we are all interconnected and no action goes unnoticed.
I love America and am very proud to be an American. Although America has it’s issues (as all countries do), it is my home and I have been fortunate to enjoy a great deal of freedom and opportunity here.
Although I am not an "artist", I love and appreciate the arts and culture.
Reduce, Reuse, recycle. We need to be more efficient with our natural resources, as we have a limited amount and they will not last forever.
MILITARY
Although I do not have direct military experience, I would like to learn from the experiences of those veterans who have served their countries.
AUDIO
Seeing Radiohead live in concert was incredible and is still the best concert I have ever attended. I feel inspired by the memories of great performances.
POLITIK
World peace is possible. We need to work together to find solutions to our collective problems, rather than creating more problems by working against each other.
RELIGION
I believe that "God" does not condone any sort of violence or bloodshed in his name. Religion should bring peace - if a system of belief does not promote peace, it is an indication that it is not of God, but the ideas and teachings of man.
