Airsoft vs. Paintball
Airsoft and paintball sport are very similar and can reproduce exactly the same way. There are some differences, as airsoft is more widely used in military re-enforcement of laws and paintball. In this sense, the game can vary, but people with paintball guns for reconstructions and (somewhat less often). If you look at the big picture, the games are not so different, but sometimes the strategy and tactics should be changed according to the specifications of your rifle and his opponent.
The guns used in airsoft and paintball vary widely. Paintball guns have a hopper that poured into the paint balls, while the use of Airsoft guns clips. Therefore, the overall loading and unloading easier in airsoft, proceed as around extra clips. In paintball, you need a jacket or put a belt of large cylinder of bullets in the paint. This does not mean this airsoft paintball made in this category. Paintball guns can usually carry more ammunition for an airsoft gun, and you can always reload fast enough.
Ammunition, paintball ball, 6mm airsoft BBS. This is an important thing to consider. In a forest, there are many small parts that can break paintballs, which prevents them from achieving their goal. You have to find a very open without obstruction. Airsoft pellets are very low and the probability of encountering small obstacles is very small. Moreover, in many cases, they can be more accurate than paintballs, so no can take much time to play at the end as it might with paintball. The speed, in FPS, airsoft is also usually higher (between 300fps and 400fps). It can be as low as 120 fps, but this is not very effective in an airsoft game. Paint balls can be avoided, it does not happen often, but if you see one that comes to you in advance, it is easy to break of the track. Airsoft pellets are too small to see at high speed, and dodging is basically out of question. Therefore, in general, in the case of ammunition, airsoft has the advantage.
The next item on the list is handling. Airsoft guns are certainly easier to maintain and run with little paintball CO2 N2 large and bulky external (or air) of containers. In addition, the hopper can sometimes be an obstacle. You get used to how paintball guns are made, but the shooting airsoft rifle is thus a kind of relief. Some people have that technology in CO2 is in the back and a gun tube coils around paintball in the tank at the rear. Personally, I saw a man with two paintball guns, each with two tubes extending from the barrel behind the CO2 tanks. It was pretty cool. However, it is clear that paintball airsoft beating in maneuverability.
Another important thing is maintenance. Paintball Guns needs oil, and CO2 cleaning, refilling of course (as the amount that you play often). If you have a gas airsoft gun, you also have to be recharged, but electric and spring airsoft guns require no gas at all. Both types of guns can break if not maintained properly. Paintball guns to clean the barrel regularly, even if relatively simple. Most of the time, paintball guns have more parts than airsoft guns, and they may be more costly problems repair, but crucial, rarely occur in any type of gun.
The thing about airsoft is that people can cheat easily. In paintball, the ball explodes and the paint is visible in the person. Of course, you can scratch the paint, but people rarely risk because they are caught, so they are fighting. However, someone may be involved in Airsoft and just shake. If they are very competitive individuals to play, and continue to receive blows, one or the other can not really prove that unless are close enough to see the ball hit the person. Airsoft is based on the honesty system, and sometimes not. 6mm balls are always an option, but that can be broken in the barrel, and the problems they cause.
Product quality is really a matter of opinion, because there is no clear winner. Each weapon type has its advantages and disadvantages. Usually, if you start with paintball, I'll take the paintball, and even with airsoft.
