I taught in church this week. The lesson was "overcoming obstacles." The lesson listed the 12 steps from President Ezra Taft Benson on overcoming. I think it was number 2... or 3, anyway the quote is a good one! "Prayer in the hour of need is a great boon. From simple trials to our Gethsemanes, prayer can put us in touch with God, our greatest comfort and counsel." As I was teaching my heart was aching, one of the girls in the class, about 13 years old, had tears the whole time. It helped to remind me that everyone has struggles- we should always be kind to everyone!!
